Directory Submitter-Free

by glenn101 on February 4, 2010

I did some research to find out of if directory submission is still good even smaller free directories. Brad Callen’s software finds the good ones at least not “link farms” which are dangerous for your site’s rankings. The free version does 350 directory sites when I last checked. If you upgrade it is over 2000 directories.

A link farm is just pages of links listed with poor order to where and what the sites listed are about.

The search engine experts say these directory sites are still viable (especially paid to enter) even the smaller free directory sites. The key is “niche” specific directory sites are the good ones they state. The general info directories are still good but directories that target what your site is about exactly are better.

I would NOT shotgun your site to all these directories at once but only few a day. The software will keep track of what you have already done. Search engines are shy of people using automation as they have been burned before with crummy sites getting to the top of their index by using software to create links. They have protocols in place now. If they see hundreds of links in a day it may pull a trigger.

The best way to use the software is to check each site in the window and look at the quality of each directory if it is good enough for you, instead of blasting your website all over.

Brad has two ways for you to use his directory software, get the free then pay to upgrade if you want, or join his membership site and use SEOElite which has directory submission built in plus article submission, back link checking, training, video, etc.

These software programs allow you to fully control the submission process, what and where you want to go. Automation is how much you want to make of it.

I give three links here one to get only the directory software and the other for the membership site. I was offered $27 a month ($39 normal) for the membership site but I had to buy the upgrade article software (did not purchase the directory software yet as I may stay in the membership as SEOElite has directory submission built into it) but you don’t need it if you plan on staying in the membership site as the SEOElite software in the membership site has article and directory submission built into it. I don’t know the best way. The membership site constantly adds new training as internet marketing constantly changes so this may influence your decision.

YOU MUST CHECK PERIODICALLY TO SEE IF ANY DIRECTORIES YOU ARE IN HAVE DETERIORATED INTO LINK FARMS OR LINK OUT WITH THEIR ADVERTISING TO LOW QUALITY PHARMACY, GAMBLING, PORN, ILLEGAL SCRAPER DOWNLOADS SITES. This happens more with small general directories. It is better if your time is too limited to monitor this much, to stick to your specific “niche” directories which are less likely to go bad as free or low priced general directories.
